Adding a New Publication

How to add a new publication item to your website.

Each site may use slightly different fields for publications, but the process for adding a new publication is always the same.

Steps to Add a New Publication

  1. Open the Editor
    Log in to Webflow and open the Editor for your site.
  2. Go to Collections
    In the Editor toolbar, click Collections (bottom of the screen).
  3. Open the Publications Collection
    From the list, select Publications.
  4. Create a New Publication
    Click the green New Publication button in the top-right corner.
  5. Fill Out the Publication Fields
    Enter your publication details into the fields provided.
    These may include items like:
    • Title
    • Authors
    • Journal
    • Publication date
    • PDF or external link
    • Featured toggle
  6. Match the Formatting
    If you're unsure how a field should look, open an existing publication on the site and follow the same format for consistency.
  7. Publish the Item
    When finished, click Publish to make the publication live on the site.
    Or click Save as Draft if you want to complete it later.
